Welcome to the Village of Peotone!  We believe this is a great place to live and look forward to helping you share that belief.  Navigate our home page and you will find most of the general information you might need and contact information to get more specific answers.  We are a growing community that still wants to maintain that small town, personal touch.  Call or stop-in the Village Hall for information and you will be greeted by a knowledgeable, caring professional willing to help you find the information you need. Great Communities are dependent on Great Residents as they continue to grow.  Please take an active part in our schools, churches, parks, library, scouts, veterans groups, and other organizations.  Support our local chamber of commerce members and help us to attract new businesses.  We may not have the large tax base to support all the services everyone might want, but with your help, we can make the most of our limited resources.  Thanks for deciding to make this Your Home Town.  I look forward to meeting you.

Water, Sewer, Garbage Service
Please contact the Village Hall (708-258-3279) as soon as possible to have the village utilities placed in your name. The Village operates its’ own water and sewer utilities. The residential garbage service is contracted to a private contractor (Star/A&J Disposal). When you contact the village regarding your water/sewer account, we will forward the information to Star/A&J Disposal to start your garbage service.

Water, sewer and garbage are charged on the same bill. Billing occurs quarterly (March, June, September, and December). Bills may be paid on-line, by mail, or at the Village Hall. After hour payments may be placed in the night drop. The village accepts cash, checks, money orders and most major credit or debit cards (Visa cards can not be accepted).

Garbage Service
Residential garbage service is collected every Wednesday, with schedule adjustments for holidays. Garbage collection is provided by Star/A&J Disposal (708-258-3250).

Vehicle Stickers
The village honors valid vehicle stickers from other Illinois communities; however you still need to get a sticker from the Village of Peotone. For additional information on vehicle stickers  or to download a vehicle sticker application, please click here.
